This relationship dependency prevents them from forming a healthy, balanced connection with themselves and others, thus hampering their journey towards personal growth. They may even compromise their own wellbeing or tolerate toxic behaviors, simply to avoid being alone. This pattern is a clear indication that they are seeking validation and self-worth externally, rather than from within. They might find themselves in a cycle of unhealthy or one-sided relationships, where they give relentlessly, yet receive little in return. It’s not uncommon for them to become overly invested in their relationships, sometimes to the point of obsessiveness. This dependency often stems from their need to constantly feel valued and cherished. #5 – They Exhibit Relationship AddictionsĪn unhealthy Enneagram 2 can develop a form of addiction towards relationships, clinging onto them for fear of abandonment or loneliness. And it also tends to invite more resentment and confusion from others than genuine help. However, such a strategy only serves to deepen their emotional exhaustion and perpetuates a cycle where their genuine needs remain unfulfilled, creating a barrier to their personal growth. By positioning themselves as the sacrificial lamb, burdened by the weight of others’ needs, they manage to draw attention and sympathy. This behavior typically surfaces when they feel their efforts are taken for granted and they’re not receiving the recognition they crave. ![]() ![]() It’s a paradoxical dance where they deny their needs, yet engineer circumstances where others feel compelled to offer assistance or express gratitude. #4 – They Play the MartyrĪn unhealthy Enneagram 2 might resort to playing the martyr, subtly manipulating situations to fulfill their needs indirectly. This can lead to a state of chronic exhaustion and unfulfillment, as they’re constantly giving without allowing themselves to receive. Their fear of appearing needy or selfish becomes a barrier, preventing them from seeking support even when it’s desperately needed. In their pursuit of being the tireless helper, they rarely, if ever, ask for help themselves. This unhealthy perspective frequently leads them to suppress their own desires, instead prioritizing the needs of those around them. They often view their personal needs as a sign of selfishness, a stain on their selfless image they strive to maintain. In the life of an unhealthy Enneagram 2, there exists an underlying shame connected to their own needs and wants. #3 – They Feel Ashamed of Their Own Needs This meddling not only disrupts the lives of those around them but also detracts from the Enneagram 2’s focus on their own personal growth and self-care. ![]() They desire to be at the center of the emotional universe of the people around them, often failing to recognize that their actions may be driven more by their own neediness than by genuine concern for others. They may overstep boundaries, insert themselves where they are not needed, or even manufacture crises, all in a bid to reaffirm their role as the indispensable confidante. This yearning for emotional intimacy can manifest in various ways, but it often leads to meddling in others’ affairs under the guise of support or concern. #2 – They Strive to be the ConfidanteĮnneagram 2s in an unhealthy state often seek to position themselves as the confidante, the one person everyone else turns to in times of need. And in this storm of selflessness, they often forget a fundamental truth: that their value is inherent, not predicated on the role they play in the lives of others. In their quest to be the essential rock, the unwavering pillar for others, they can lose sight of their own needs and desires. This drive is so potent, so overwhelming, that it can often become a vortex of self-abnegation. It’s as if their worth is irrevocably tethered to the act of giving, to the reassurances and acknowledgments that they matter, that they are indispensable in the lives of others. In the quiet corners of an Enneagram 2’s heart lies an unwavering need, a burning desire to be needed. Not sure what your Enneagram type is? If you don't do this, the simulations will go out of sync because of typical network latency. ![]() The next important thing is, any inputs (firing bullets etc.) have to be sent across with a game tick/time stamp so that all simulations run them at the exact same time.(So no using random() functions, no using sorting unless you know it is deterministic etc. If I release an object at a particular angle at the same time, it behaves the exact same way on different clients. The first part is to write your own physics code to guarantee that it is deterministic.I've been working on a few HTML5 multiplayer games with physics ( Example Tanks Game) It was so rare that we didn't bother implementing the physics on the server to let that resolve the shot in case of a conflict. However, in the wild, we saw that this very rarely happened because we keep resetting the positions to a fixed-number between each shot. For instance, on one client two balls might just miss each other while on the other client they collide and cause a completely different outcome. This will happen every once in a while because even though the two clients are in agreement about the positions of the balls and in agreement about the power, angle and spin of the shot, the difference in floating point implementations may still cause the shot outcome to be vastly different. If however the two clients disagree the server will simply close the game (yes it was a quick-fix). If the clients agree on the outcome then everything is good and the server passes the turn and allows the next player to shoot. When the server has received the shot outcome from both clients it compares the result. When the physics are resolved (balls are no longer moving) each client again truncates the position of each ball to a fixed point number and sends it to the server. Now both clients start to resolve the physics locally using floating point math. The server then records this and relays the information to the other client. When a player takes a shot, the power, angle, and spin is also truncated to a 5 digit fixed number and sent as an integer to the server. This way each client will have the balls at the same position regardless of cpu architecture and floating point implementation at game start. When the server first racks up the balls it truncates each ball's position to a 5 digit fixed-point number before sending the positions to the clients (each new game will have the balls at slightly randomized positions so that all breaks are unique) Hi, I developed the game client so I can tell you exactly whats going on. ![]() Dual horizontal LED headlights with a chromed quad split and signal lights hanging below complete the racy looking front. So the Thumbs Up review for me is very borderline. I get Milestone can't control that but it's another incentive to go with that game. If you want my honest opinion, go buy MXGP 2019, the graphics and physics are waaaay better and there is 17 rounds compared to 14. I have a hard time believing they can sell this game for whatever their retail price is. If this game wouldn't have been on sale for $7.00 I wouldn't have bought it. I haven't bought a MXGP game since 2019 because I can just tell from watching videos the games aren't getting any better. Don't get me wrong, I do actually like SX5 but they are yet to make a SX game with the same or better physics and graphics that SX3 has had. After MXGP 2019 and SX3, the quality in games has kept going down. I don't know how, but Milestone continues to make a worse game by the year. The graphics in this game are absolute dog sh*t compared to 2019. Like why do I randomly crash as often as I do? Seriously, why do I just eat sh*t for no reason going down a straight away? Why do I do 180's in corners as often as I do? Adjusting your suspension really seems like it does nothing. The physics in this game are absolute dog sh*t compared to 2019. I know this kind of contradicts what I said before, but I think the AI is too difficult above medium difficulty. Lastly, I like how they made the AI more difficult, however, I am struggling on medium AI difficulty whereas I had no issues dominating on realistic difficulty in 2019. Second, I really like how the track gets rougher as the races go on. First, the first person camera in this game is awesome compared to 2019, in fact it's the only way I can play the game comfortably. I have alot of hours in MXGP 2019 so I'm going to do my review in comparison to that game. |
